I am an experienced psychodynamic psychotherapist and counsellor. I offer a confidential and safe space where we can think about what is troubling you in a non-judgemental setting.
People come to therapy for all sorts of reasons. Life can throw unexpected and upsetting things at us and sometimes we find ourselves affected by events more than we expect. Psychodynamic therapy provides an opportunity to discover the unconscious processes that drive our responses and behaviours. Once these processes are acknowledged, we have the choice of changing how we react. This can help to make us feel better about ourselves and live a more fulfilling life.
I trained at WPF Therapy and at the University of Hertfordshire. I have also benefitted from my own personal therapy for several years and can relate to what it is like to experience exploratory treatment as a patient.
Outside of my private practice I have worked as a psychotherapist as part of the Trauma Unit at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust.
My practice is near Oxford Circus in Central London. Sessions take place once or twice a week for 50 minutes. It is important to maintain consistency so your session will take place on the same day(s) and at the same time(s) every week. Sessions are charged at £80.
Choosing the right therapist involves finding someone you can trust and work with. The first session will be a consultation for you to get a flavour of how I work and for us to think about whether psychodynamic psychotherapy is best for you. Please contact me and we can agree a suitable day and time for your first session.
I hold an MA in Psychodynamic Theory and Practice issued by WPF Therapy and Roehampton University. I am accredited by the BPC, BACP and the FPC and work within and abide by the strict ethical standards issued by these professional bodies.
